Hi guys, I bought a 10 tooth pinion gear and I want to install it on my '22 Centerdoor. My question to you is, can I install it without tearing into the rear end? I’m wondering if I will need to shim the ring gear? Thanks in advance.
At the very least you need to check the engagement pattern and clearance / backlash of the gears. After doing this I predict you will find there needs to be some adjustments.
