'26 - '27 Sediment bulb question.

Hi Folks,
Along with a motorcycle style fuel tap, I’ve installed a late 26 -27 Sediment Bub on my Speedster.
The problem I have is that I don’t know which direction the tap should be in for “on” and “off” and when co-coordinating it with the auxiliary fuel tap I sometimes get it right, sometimes don’t.
So, if the lever is pointing straight down beside the bulb is the fuel line open or closed?
My apologies for asking such a dumb question.

I’ve got it sorted thanks.
If anyone wants to know, when the lever is pointing straight down, the tap is open.
