Alcohol in the tank, a myth or for real?

New gas automobiles are being banned in California, which makes me think that after awhile gas may be hard to come by here—like baby formula.
I’ve heard that the Model T can burn alcohol with a simple modification (I think changing a jet in the carburetor?)
Does anyone here know if this is true, or is it a myth?
And what exactly would the modifications be?
My inner Boy Scout tells me it might be worth setting aside the parts just in case.

It’s not true. Alcohol in the tank will make your T impossible to start or run. I’ve had good luck with E10, it does not seem to have any effect on a T.

That figures. I better invest in a Jerry can :worried:
