How to re-insert a rear axle roller bearing

I’m restoring a project my dad built in the 1950s incorprating the rear axle and transmission of a Model T one-ton truck. Hoping to repack it, I was able pull one of the axle roller bearings but cannot get it back in. I suspect some sort of insertion tool is needed but don’t know what I’m looking for or where to find it. Any advice would be very welcome.

If a TT rear axle end is similar in design to the car, the bearing should just slide in after being cleaned and greased. I suspect that the axle shaft shifted a bit out of concentricity with the housing when you pulled the bearing out, try wiggling the axle shaft while twisting and pushing the bearing back in.

Great advice. I’ll give a whirl..or push…as the case maybe. Thanks!
