Anyone have a suggestion for how much torque to use for lug nuts on a '27 coupe equipped with steel spoke rims? I’m kind of hoping for more specifics than “until it feels right (or good)”.
Thanks in advance, Tom in Taylor Mill, KY 41015

I know this is not the answer you want but my dad always told me that a lug nut should be tightened with the same tool that you will be using to remove it one night in the rain.
I agree. I once asked a tech to tighten the lugs on a modern car with my 4 way wrench. He used his impact anyway. Before I left I asked the manager to loosen the lug nuts on one wheel with my 4 way with the tech standing there. He couldn’t.
