She's still on blocks, but a good end to 2024 none the less

First, the carburetor came home from the rebuilder and has a new float,
I have to figure out what I need to get the throttle linkage back to original since the old one looks like a length of wire coat hanger.
Second, Chaffin’s Garage had a water outlet so I immediately ordered it—these are on back order everywhere else, and I heard that there doesn’t seem to be a foundry interested in supplying new ones. The used outlets I’ve seen so far look badly corroded (and pricey) so I really lucked out with Chaffin’s.
Third, I finally got the rear axle cradle finished and raised the old girl high enough to comfortably trace the oil leak.
Not bad for a morning with the '24.
She’ll celebrate her 100th birthday later than I had hoped, but she’s always been slow to get anywhere…

Sounds like good progress, congratulations!

That was a great day! I am taking the engine out of the 1910 due to a non - functioning magneto. It needs to be done but it seems to take forever.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you as well.

Well I am back together on the 1910. Just waiting for a friend to come over and pull start the car with the lawn mower. I fitted new bands and the crank is too tough to turn. Should be fine once we get it running.
