Here is another photo of the Kennedy Brothers who owned at least two 1911 - 12 Model T town cars used as taxis in Greymouth, NZ.
Here’s a third image of a 1911 - 12 town car in New Zealand. The sign on the wall is an advertisement for Nobel Glascow who made shotgun powder, dynamite, blasting caps etc in Scotland. They went out of business in 1921.
I grabbed this picture from the internet and the car may even belong to a member on this forum. My question is what are the two brass pedals for? I suspect ones to an exhaust whistle, but what could the other one be for?
My that’s a pretty one. The owner has a bad case of Brassitis!
Could be any number of things - two different exhaust whistles perhaps, or a cutout and an exhaust whistle. Or maybe one is for Bermuda bells? Or one for an intake whistle? Or one for a spark plug (explosion) whistle?
Got to say I like the workmanship.
Can you please tell me what the brass thing above the shackles is for? I think this is the same car that
has the extra pedals for possibly various horns or bells.
Those are accessory shock absorbers. Several companies made them in that style. The covers were originally formed steel. The owner likes brass!
What happened to all the photos?
