Hello all. Well, went further down the hole. When I took the block to the rebuilders, we had a very good conversation. After considering all the things said, a complete rebuild is in the works including the transmission. No point in going 1/2 way. Do it once and do it right.

It took a while, but the engine/transmission has had a complete rebuild and is back in the car. Did a few short drives to ensure I had pedals set and no other issues. Then took it on a 4 hour round trip to some friends. Ran flawless there and the way home. What a difference in how quiet it is and how much better it pulls up the hills. Money well spent.
